Washington, D.C. -- President Obama said he hasnt had a cigarette in years thanks mostly to First Lady Michelle Obama.
The unscripted admission was caught on an open microphone while he was chatting with a United Nations special reporter.
When asked if he was smoking, the president replied, No, I havent had a cigarette in probably six years. Thats because Im scared of my wife.
The president has said hes struggled with tobacco use over the years, but the First Lady said in 2011 that her husband had finally kicked the habit.
